Tutorial/Educational Empowerment Program

The Tutorial/Educational Empowerment Program Provides evening tutoring and after-school homework assistance to students (K-12) in all subjects with the goal of improving academic performance.

2002 Accomplishments:

Enrollment of 80 students

20 schools represented

15 volunteer tutors

1999 Accomplishments:

Tutored 215 students.

Averaged 60 students on a regular basis.

Averaged 20 students on a weekly basis.

Distributed school supplies.

Improvement of study habits.

Standardized test preparation.

Increased percentage of students achieving Honor Roll status.

Collaboration with local school districts.

Volunteers:

22 Tutors led by Program Director Cassandra Conyers-Rush.
