Homeless Outreach Program

The Homeless Outreach Program Promotes awareness and serves as an advocate for the spiritual, psychological and physiological needs of homeless individuals and families.

2002 Accomplishments:

Collaboration with Salvation Army

Collaboration with Oliver Gospel Mission

Support of meals, clothing and care packages

Served over 2,000 persons

 

1999 Accomplishments:

Provided meals and care packages for 1,373 persons.

Provided clean clothing for persons in need.

Participated in special projects with: Senior Citizens, Angel Tree, Adopt-A-Family and Prison Ministry.

Sponsored volunteer training.

Assisted individuals in locating shelter and temporary housing.

Collaboration with other organizations to include:
The Salvation Army, Oliver Gospel Mission, Harvest Food Bank, Dorn V A Medical Center (Stand Down 2000) and Midlands Area Consortium for the Homeless.
