The Brookland Baptist Soup Kitchen Ministry delivers soup and sandwiches each Saturday (December through early April) to the elderly, sick and shut-in and others in the Cayce/West Columbia community. The Annual Sunday School Christmas Program will be held Saturday, December 20th, at 12 Noon in the Brookland Baptist Small Sanctuary. Recitations can be picked-up in the Fellowship Hall during Sunday School Hours.
The Young Women of Excellence would like the Brookland Family to support their new service project, "Thanksgiving Blessings: Greater Service." The goal is for everyone in the Brookland Family to give a non-perishable food donation to stock our Brookland Food Bank during the entire month of November. Thank you for your support ,and giving spirit .
The College Ministry will provide traditional College Students (ages 18-24) with a Thanksgiving Meal Basket. The Progressive Auxiliary will present the first nine weeks Spotlight on Youth Recognition of Positive Achievements, on Sunday December 21st. The deadline for submitting Spotlight on Youth Recognition Information will be Sunday December 7th. It is that time of year for the 500 Club to provide its Annual Christmas Holiday Food Baskets. The baskets will be available to the Senior Citizen population of Brookland Baptist Church. Interested seniors are requested to sign up in the Health & Wellness Center after Worship. Basket pickup will Saturday, December 13th, from 8:00AM to 12Noon. Any baskets remaining-will be distributed after 12Noon on a “first-come-first-served” basis. Basket are limited. Prison Fellowship Angel Tree is a Program where gifts are purchased and delivered to children on behalf of their incarcerated parent and in the process to share the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. Names of the children are now available in the Health & Wellness Center. Please stop by and pick a name or two to share the joy of Christmas. Those who would like to volunteer to help distribute the children's name, wrap received gifts, and help with the Angel Tree Party on December 20th, are asked to sign-up at the Angel Tree table. Prison Ministry is in need of volunteers to help serve Christmas Dinner to 200 inmates at Broad River Correctional Institute on Sunday evening, December 21st, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
