Youth And Teens Day Parent Letter
Youth And Teens Day Parent Letter
The 2019 Youth & Teens Day Committee would like to thank you for allowing your child to participate in our annual celebration! The committee has worked diligently to make this an exciting and spirit-filled occasion. We pray that your child(ren) will have an enjoyable time as we celebrate our Lord and Savior The Youth and Teens Day Way!
Our annual Youth & Teens Day program will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2019 during both 8:00 and 11:30 am worship services. This Year’s theme is “I AM GREATER THAN I WAS” with the scriptural reference: Ephesians 4:20-24 (NKJV) which reads, “20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness..”
We ask that you allow your child (ren) to participate during both worship services. Our registration fee is $20.00 per youth and/or teen. The registration fee covers the cost of the T-shirt worn during the Youth and Teens Day worship services, food, some activities, and miscellaneous administrative expenses. Please do not allow the registration fee to prevent participation. If assistance is needed due to hardship, please contact Dr. Kenneth Campbell, Director of the Youth Ministry at or 803-419-7468, or visit him in Children’s Worship on Sunday mornings.
For the Youth and Teens Day worship experience, all youth and teens are asked to dress accordingly: the Y&T Teens Day T-shirt, with blue jeans (no ripped) and closed-in shoes (No sandals or flip flops). This year Our Service Projects include a supply drive benefitting the Ronald McDonald House for Eagle Scout Devonte Wade and the Second Annual Jerome ‘Deuce” Nesbit blood drive with the American Red Cross (Please see calendar for additional information).

Please mark your calendars for the rehearsals and related activities so that provisions may be made to ensure your child’s attendance. Due to adequate time needed for printing, please register by Monday, July 22, 2019 to assure your child’s T-shirt size. After this date, shirts will be available on a first come-first served basis.
Remember, registration is after each Sunday worship service and during Monday choir rehearsals. The CD of song selections will be distributed on July 15, 2019 during choir rehearsal. We ask for your patience and cooperation during this time.
Special Note: At the request of the Directors, all Youth and Teens Day Choir rehearsals will be closed. Your attendance is requested during each Parent Session, which will be held during choir rehearsals at a location to be announced later. The Committee has chosen specific topics intended to help you become more aware of issues concerning your Youth and Teen. Thank you in advance for supporting the 2019 Youth and Teens Day at Brookland Baptist Church.
